When I was a kid, I remember I took some painting lessons. I really enjoyed it, and during my school years the class that I always enjoyed the most was the art class. There is something about making stuff with my hands, playing with color combinations, textures, etc, that I really enjoy. I guess you could said that I am a crafty person, I can knit, felt, make origami. Can you consider that as being interested in art or as being good at art? I suppose you do.
Let's think about origami. Yes, you can do a little boat out of a piece of paper, but I doubt that someone would consider that as art, but there are some pieces of origami that could be in any museum of modern art. What can be consider art and what not is a discussion that is to big for this post, so we will go ahead an consider origami as art, because I say so.
There are some really skilled persons, that can made beautiful thing just with a square of paper and their hands, like Akira Yoshizawa, an origami artist that is quite famous for working with wet paper. He even got and exhibition at the Louvre!
